Docs

How lunchpad works.

Launch a pump.fun coin, name a creator on TikTok, YouTube, Reddit or X, and the coin's creator fees route to them. This page covers the mechanism, the payout rails and what the numbers on the site mean.

01

How it works

pump.fun pays a slice of every trade to a coin's creator. Here, the creator is whoever you name.

  1. 1

Pick a platform and a handle

TikTok, YouTube, Reddit or X. Paste a profile link or type the handle; the form normalises it.

  2. 2

Launch the coin from your wallet

You sign two transactions, the pump.fun create and the fee-sharing config, plus a third if you set an initial buy. You pay the fees; nothing is custodied.

  3. 3

    Fees accrue on-chain

From the first trade, the coin's creator fees land in a vault that lunchpad controls and the site reads live.

  4. 4

The creator is paid on their platform

TikTok Coins as a Video Gift, a YouTube Super Thanks on a video, Reddit Gold on a post, or X Money to the account. Each coin prints a receipt.

02

Platforms

4 platforms, 4 payout rails. The handle rules match what each platform accepts.

TikTok
Paid as TikTok Coins, sent as a Video GiftHandles: @name · 2–24 letters, numbers, dots or underscores
YouTube
Paid as a YouTube Super Thanks, sent on a videoHandles: @name · 3–30 letters, numbers, dots, dashes or underscores
Reddit
Paid as Reddit Gold, awarded on a postHandles: u/name · 3–20 letters, numbers, dashes or underscores
X
Paid as X Money, sent to the accountHandles: @name · 1–15 letters, numbers or underscores
03

Fee routing

The route is pump.fun's own fee-sharing config, not a custom program. Anyone can read it from the chain.

Curve creator
Your wallet signs the create, so pump.fun shows you as the launcher.
Fee-sharing config
A second transaction creates the coin's fee-sharing config and sets one shareholder at 100%: pump.fun's fee account for the lunchpad GitHub login. pump.fun shows that GitHub account as the earner.
GitHub account
github.com/lunchpads
Fee account (PDA)
DLcDxMddaB3VhVT7pNajcANjitVgBYRs2MwBAfmqLfBM
Why GitHub
pump.fun pays social fee accounts natively: the shareholder is a PDA seeded on the GitHub user id, and only that GitHub login can claim from it. The first launch ever creates the account; the launcher pays its rent, about 0.002 SOL.
Tag
The platform and handle are stored with the coin on the board. That row is what tells the payout which creator the fees belong to.
Verification
After the create lands, the server reads the curve and the fee-sharing config back and shows the result on the coin page as routed, direct or elsewhere.
The server refuses to relay a signed transaction it did not build: the payer must be you, the mint must be the one it drafted, the program must be pump.fun, and the fee-share instruction must name exactly one shareholder at 100%.
04

Launching

One form, two signatures (three with an initial buy), a coin on pump.fun within a minute.

  1. 1

    Connect Phantom

The wallet only signs; it never shares a key with the site.

  2. 2

    Name, ticker, image, description

The image is resized in your browser before upload and pinned to IPFS through pump.fun.

  3. 3

    Platform and handle

The creator who gets the fees. Paste a link if that is easier.

  4. 4

    Optional initial buy

Up to 10 SOL. The buy is priced against the fee-sharing config so it lands after the route is set.

  5. 5

    Sign

Create, fee-share, then the buy if you set one. If the buy fails the coin still exists and the page tells you.

A draft that is not signed within an hour is dropped. Nothing is charged until you sign, and the site never holds SOL on your behalf.
05

Getting paid

Creators do nothing to receive fees. Payouts go out on their own platform; whatever has not been paid yet accrues until the next one.

  1. 1

    Fees accrue

Every trade adds to the fee vault. The coin page, the creator page and Payments all read the same vault.

  2. 2

    The rail matches the platform

TikTok: a Video Gift on one of the creator’s videos. YouTube: a Super Thanks on one of their videos. Reddit: Gold awarded on one of their posts. X: X Money sent to the account.

  3. 3

    The rest accrues

Whatever has not been paid yet shows as accruing. When a payout is sent it is logged with a proof link and its own receipt.

Paid
What has been paid to the creator from the fees a coin generated.
Accruing
Generated minus paid: fees waiting for the next payout.
Generated
What the fee vault has received since launch, priced in USD at the current SOL rate.
Minimums
Each rail has its own floor: TikTok Coins, YouTube Super Thanks, Reddit Gold and X Money all round to what the platform sells.
Sent payouts are not on a timer. They leave the lunchpad accounts by hand and each one prints a receipt with a proof link.
06

Receipts

Every coin with fees prints a receipt, live from the vault, with the creator's platform on it. Every sent payout prints another.

Example

What a coin's receipt says

Pick the creator's platform. The receipt on the right is the same component the site prints for every coin with fees.

How the site reads fees

No indexer, no estimate. Generated is a live read of the vaults pump.fun pays into.

Curve vault
The creator vault derived from the fee-sharing config, minus rent.
AMM vault
After graduation, the wrapped-SOL account of the AMM creator vault.
Claimed
When the vault balance drops, the difference is recorded as claimed, so a pump.fun distribution never resets a coin to zero.
Generated
Waiting plus claimed, priced in USD at the current SOL rate.
Paid
What has been paid to the creator so far, per coin.
Accruing
Generated minus paid.
Refresh
Reads are cached for a minute and fall back to the last good read if the RPC fails.

FAQ

Does the creator need to sign up?

No. You name them; they receive the payout on their platform. They can open their page here to see every coin and receipt.

Can I route fees to myself?

Yes. Name your own TikTok, YouTube, Reddit or X account.

Why does pump.fun show me as the creator?

Because you signed the create. The fee-sharing config, which pump.fun also reads, is what sends the fees onward.

What if the fee-share transaction fails?

The coin exists with fees going to your wallet. The coin page flags it as direct, and the initial buy is skipped so nothing is priced against a route that did not land.

Is there a platform token?

There is none. Anything trading under the lunchpad name is not ours.

Where can I see the code path?

The coin page shows the on-chain routing verdict, and Payments shows every receipt.
